About
Meet Ashley Allen
You can name every reason you shouldn't feel this way, and still feel it anyway. If that's you, you're exactly who I work with.
I'm Ashley Allen, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW, LCSW-C) offering telehealth therapy across Maryland, Virginia, and Utah. I specialize in trauma-focused, strengths-based therapy, including work with PTSD and OCD, and I see capable, self-aware individuals who look fine on the outside and feel anxious or worn out underneath. Together we work at a pace that you can handle, building on the resilience that's already carried you this far.

A little more about working with me
I'm a therapist who really cares about helping people meet their goals. It can be intimidating to start the process of therapy, and I want to help make that easier for you. It's my goal to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can be totally candid about what you're dealing with. I find that when clients are able to be open, it becomes easier to connect the dots between what you're stuck in and where you want to go.
My approach changes the more I get to know you. Generally, though, I gravitate toward an attachment and trauma-informed lens and parts work, and I have extensive training in both cognitive and behavioral approaches.
I believe every individual has the capacity to heal and grow. Together we can process your past, identify how your current patterns might be keeping you stuck, and find a way forward that aligns with your values. I specialize in trauma-focused and strengths-based therapy, and I'm body-positive and LGBTQ+ affirming.
Therapy is hard to do, and I respect you for looking into it. If you're ready, reach out and we'll find a time to talk.
